Suicide Rate Analysis insight

Suicide according to Merriam Webster is the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally. many factors influence suicide, however, in this analysis, I will look at suicide rates across generations, age groups, sex, continent, population, and GDP per capita.

The analysis above shows that the suicide rate is high among Males within the age range of 35-54 years old because males carry a lot of responsibility compared to females.

The heatmap analysis shows that Europe recorded the highest rate of suicide and the Russian Republic tops all other countries in terms of suicide rate. At the same time, San Marino had the lowest, and worthy of note is Saint Kitts and Nevis and Dominica had 0 suicide records. 1999 recorded the highest number of suicides at 256119 deaths by suicide. The suicide death rate alone is about 7M out of 51bn population within 101 countries and the GI generation has the highest suicide rate. People are advised to speak up whenever they feel overwhelmed and have suicidal thoughts. Mental health awareness also needs to be created because the government, psychologists, and non-governmental organizations are willing to help and provide the necessary support to the affected person.
